Welcome to Spring Branch

Spring Branch officially became a city in November 19, 2015 and is home to approximately 250 residents.

This small city covers over 1.9 square miles and is located along U.S. Highway 281. It is approximately 21 miles from New Braunfels, which gives residents easy access to needed amenities. The city is a good place to raise children because it is considered very safe. Kids can receive education from school great schools that are a part of Comal Independent Spring District.

The schools include Arlon Seay Elementary, Spring Branch Middle School, Smithson Valley High School, Smithson Valley Middle School, Smithson Valley High School, and Bill Brown Elementary School. Students can also attend Bracken Christian School, which is a private PK to 12 establishment.

Spring Branch Parks & Green Spaces

In Spring Branch, there’s a consistent effort made to create an environment suitable for people who love the outdoors. You will find that all parks and other natural features are well-maintained, which means there are many thriving trekking and hiking paths, gardens, and similar natural spaces available to residents. While Spring Branch is a very small city, there are ample parks, lakes and rivers to explore.

The Guadalupe River State Park is one of the most popular. The Guadalupe River runs through it and is its most popular attraction. Visitors can swim, fish, and ride as well as canoe in this park. Honey Creek State Natural Area is beautiful woodland with diverse flora and fauna. Visitors must take part in guided tours to explore this place. There are two miles of attractive and memorable trails to enjoy.

Canyon Lake is located around 15 miles northeast of Spring Branch and it considered the gem of Comal County. You can enjoy stunning waterfront and lake views and participate in sports like boating or sailing, kayaking, water skiing, hiking, fishing, helicopter tours, scuba diving, and parasailing. There are shopping and dining options available here too.

Spring Branch is a quiet and peaceful community, but that doesn’t mean it has no cultural shows and events. You can enjoy a diverse range of food from traditional Texan meals to delicious Mexican dishes. People interested in golf have access to River Crossing Golf Club. The Jumbo Evans Sports Park has 7 soccer fields, 4 baseball fields, and developing tennis and basketball facilities. The facilities are used by youth soccer associations, little league football associations, a tennis center, and a lacrosse club.

The community also organizes regular events like the Annual 9/11 Freedom Walk across Canyon Lake Dam. If you’re looking for a town with a rural feel, Spring Branch is a great choice. It is family-friendly, green, and comfortable.
